Rushmina has 11 years of experience as a corporate lawyer. She obtained both her law and masters degree at Oxford Brookes University and is qualified as a barrister. She has gained experience in a multitude of disciplines, with her specialty being in contract and corporate law. Rushmina has been fortunate to work with both local and international businesses at all levels, from Associate to Head of Legal to CEO. Having both a passion for law and for business, has afforded Rushmina with the opportunity to work across a multitude of sectors with clients from multi-cultural and international borders as well as have the ability to work with top tier law firms and a range of small to renowned companies.


Rushmina’s training began at a boutique law firm established by the Oasis Asset Management Group. The Company specialised in all areas of law, including civil law, criminal law, commercial law, conveyancing and road accident fund claims. She soon graduated from a trainee to be responsible for the management of the commercial and civil departments. From there Rushmina moved on to mainly in-house counsel roles for some prestigious companies, namely the Tourism and Business Institute of South Africa where she was responsible for heading up their legal department and attending to all their corporate matters.


Thereafter, Rushmina joined the commercial department of Exigent Group Limited, an international company specializing in legal outsourcing to both top-tier law firms and businesses around the world, moving from Support Lawyer to Senior Associate. Some of her clients included Eversheds, Radiant Law, Rocket Lawyer, Schlumberger, Total, BP, SThree, Ashurst, to name but a few. Rushmina was later recruited to join Bluefox International, initially as the head of legal and later promoted to be their CEO. This position afforded her with the opportunity to work and grow with a start-up company, where she was responsible for the operations, marketing and business performance of the company. After leaving Bluefox Rushmina ventured to become a freelance legal consultant working with companies based around the world, assisting with their corporate and commercial matters, as well as attending to drafting litigation documents and providing legal support where required.
